The magic's in the music and the music's in me
I have been a very lazy blogger.
Update:
I am currently back in Minnesota for Kait and Shady's wedding. Wishing that my stint here was longer, as busy life schedules make it hard for me to see everyone I had hoped to visit. But at least they all know that I love them.
Tomorrow starts full wedding mode. I am excited to make my treats for the Egyptian Evening on Friday. I also have to practice my graceful walking, as my military partner might make me look bad. Its going to be an amazing weekend overall- I'm super pumped. Its always great to get to see friends that you don't see nearly often enough, but to celecrate something fantastic as well- bonus!
Its a crazy thing, marriage. Such a big step. Such a commitment. Such an amazing adventure. I will definitely cry during the ceremony. Ha ha ha. There is no use even trying to pretend I won't. Luckily I am well-rehearsed at hiding kleenex behind bouquets.
Wow. My mind is reeling all of a sudden.
It's going to be fantastic.
I just wish that Shady were here to celebrate too.
(I think I should write a letter of protest about the existence of borders in the world. Not sure who I would write it to, but I learned how to write strong and influential complaint letters in college, so I might as well use it.)
Then Sunday night I am heading home. There's that home thing again. Not really sure if I am leaving it or returning to it. But that's off topic.
Because Wednesday... I start my new job!
After a long search I finally found a position that I think will be great. Its with an HR consulting org. The best thing about the company is that I will be able to learn a LOT while I am working there about so many things. Should be a great experience. Can't wait!
I am really looking forward to life de-stressing slightly. It seems like I have been doing that for a long time though. Is the 'real world' just ALWAYS stressful? Does it ever go away?
The optimist in me thinks that it does. Because if it doesn't, then I will be sad. And that's no fun.
