A new man came into my life today...
This morning, circa 7 am, I hear a knock on the door. Normally that knock would have gone unanswered, but since I was already awake, and needed to get up anyway, and I figured there was only one person it could be... I answered. There was my neighbor, the one I figured it was, with a dog. Not her dog. A stranger. A full grown beagle.
My confused greeting: "Well, hello...?"
Apparently she had found this sweet creature wandering around, with no tags, and very hungry. She asked if I would take it in for the day- until she could call the Humane Society when she got home from work.
So I agreed to shelter the little guy for the day, gave him some food, made a place for him to sleep. I named him Ralphie. It just seemed to fit. Tiba had plenty of fun with him this morning, poor guy, she is such a bully. So I had to separate them when I left for work.
Well, welcome to the family (Temporarily!), Ralphie.
Hope you are not destroying my house right now!

for some reason the name ralphie gave me a mental image of the movie king ralph with john goodman...
i'm sure he's living it up right now, and hope he's not hiding in the cieling like the stray i adopted once.
AND SO BEGINS the story of how holly will be found, 15 years later, living with hundreds of feral dogs and cats...
