... makes no difference who you are...

I wonder if I will ever find a place in the world that is devoid of sleazy men. I haven't found one so far. Some places seem to have a higher concentration- or maybe they are more vocal- but they seem to exist everywhere.

I would like to know what is going on inside their sleazy minds... What do they think their actions will result in? Do they honestly think that whistling (or hissing, or whatever the cultural norm) on the street will elicit a dinner invitation? Do they think that getting your attention while stuck in traffic will result in you abandoning your car and hopping into theirs? Groping you in a crowded market cause you to fall madly in love? Hollering often unintelligable phrases in your direction cause you to agree to be their wife?

What is the benevolent agenda? Or is there one at all? Is it a simple subconsious reaction?

I would love to hear opinions on this topic- or sleazy men stories- they are fun too.

i am naively polite to them, and that ALWAYS comes back to me...

my favorites:
-cab driver in Alexandria
-creepy guy at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco
-Ahmed the sleazy German in Berlin

lesson learned: if the only word you know in a foreign language is 'yes'.........use sparingly

eric,

haha, yeah. stretch hummer, free drinks, walks to an abandoned train car-- then i was 'surprised' that he was sleazy.

no wonder men are confused.
